We ride in support of the American Legion and our veterans, to promote motorcycle safety and in support of our community.
We have charity events throughout the year. We participate in the annual toy run, parades, color guards and many other events.
The American Legion Riders of Iowa program has provided a lot of enjoyment for those members who share a common interest in motorcycling.
The American Legion Riders is open to members of the American Legion, Auxiliary, or S.A.L who ride motorcycles (along with their spouses).
You must own a motorcycle of 350cc or larger. You do not have to change posts to be a rider although all meetings are hosted by Post 731 of Des Moines Iowa. The official address is: 1511 South Union Street- Des Moines, Iowa 50315.
The Legion Riders meet at Post 731. Our monthly meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of each month at 7:00 p.m. Dues are $20.00.

This will be at the Iowa Speedway in Newton. We will be working with the Polk City ALR to raise money for OFR & OMK. There will be a Concert before the race and anyone that helps out will be let in for free! Last time we set a record for selling the most 50/50 tickets! Lets see if we can top this! We need to have your name by July 5 to get you on the list to get in so please hurry if you plan on helping.
Also our next meeting is on July 25 and this will be a meeting and ride. More info will be sent out on both of these events. Hope to see you all there!
